Des poèmes de Barbara Klar et de Michael Crochetiere, des extraits des oeuvres de Maria Flook, Julia Alvarez, Herman Melville et Edgar Allan Poe s'appuient sur une trame sonore électro-acoustique composée par Robert Rosen et Shawn Bell. Il en résulte un univers sombre et fluide d'où surgissent des fragments d'histoires, qui, un à un, viennent se mêler au profond désir de survie d'un enfant. Subterranean Passage est une leçon troublante sur d'édification et la maîtrise de son propre environnement psychique.
